The MS-8 is required to operate the HugeMed-manufactured semi-disposable (up to 10 uses) BR endoscopes series. Connection is made via a single connector and is compatible with the complete BR ranges. The unit is fast to set up, with the ability to run on battery for over 4 hours of continuous use, making it the ideal choice for out of hours and remote work. The unit can be used for clinic and remote endoscopy on small animal, equine, wildlife, zoo, avian and exotics.

The MS-8 comes with a 15.6-inch touch screen which can display high-resolution and detailed images. The unit features multiple connectivity options, including HDMI, SDI, and DVI ports, to support a range of display devices. The system offers a streamlined, user-friendly interface, allowing real-time display, precise image adjustments, and efficient file management. Its more efficient data transfer provides fast and seamless connections between devices, which is essential for rapid information exchange. You have the ability to set unique user profiles which can log and store image capture and data into the file storage system of the unit per user. The built-in report generation system can output diagnostic reports instantly for each user, improving your endoscopic workflow and efficiency.

Users can manually configure and map the custom ‘A’ and ‘B’ buttons to action image adjustment functions such as zoom, video, photo mode or to freeze the image captures, all at the touch of a button for your operational convenience.

Powered by a rechargeable lithium-ion battery, the MS-8 delivers over 4 hours of continuous use. The device is also built to withstand varied conditions, with an operational temperature range of 5–40°C and non-condensing humidity levels between 30% and 80%.

The lightweight handle of the unit includes a suction port for seamless integration with irrigation systems and a biopsy port for channel instruments, with 2 customisable buttons that can be programmed from the all-in-one MS-8 processor to control photographing, videoing, white balance adjustments and graphics freezing with the selected buttons displayed as hotkeys. 

There is a manual lever at the base of the handle which controls the bending section and the distal tip of the scope for precise navigation. The high-quality medical grade patient tube is equipped with an integrated camera and LED light source. These components deliver high-definition visuals, transmitting image data to the MS-8 Image Processor via a 2500mm connecting wire. 

Every bronchoscope is packed in sterilised, single-use packaging with the date of manufacture and expiration date clearly indicated on the label, ensuring an aseptic shelf life of 3 years. This minimises cross-contamination risks, enhancing safety for both patient and practitioner. Professional disinfectant wipes that are effective against bacteria, yeasts, viruses, and funghi which are tested to veterinary standards (European PT3 test standards for microbiological testing on key veterinary equipment) are suitable for cleaning the outside surfaces of these scopes.
