    Details

A classic from the Burtons Adaptable range. Crafted for today's practice, and ready for tomorrow's challenges.

Engineered in the UK with veterinary professionals in mind, the Burtons AAA Adaptable Anaesthesia Machine delivers performance, safety, and unmatched flexibility. Its durable stainless-steel frame is completely configurable to support setups ranging from basic anaesthesia circuits to fully integrated anaesthesia systems.

What sets the AAA apart is its scalable, future-ready design. As your practice grows, the machine grows with you. Begin with a simple setup and expand over time, adding components such as a patient monitoring shelf, ventilator, or oxygen concentrator when you need them. There’s no need to replace the unit or reconfigure your machine. This adaptability ensures your investment remains valuable and functional, regardless of how your clinical needs change.

Whether you’re working with piped gases, onboard ‘F’ size cylinders, or a built-in concentrator, the AAA ensures uninterrupted oxygen delivery across your practice. Move patients safely from prep to theatre without disconnecting and seamlessly switch to cylinder supply in the event of a power outage.

Designed for low-flow anaesthesia, the AAA features a high-precision logarithmic flowmeter for fine control and clear 180° visibility. It pairs perfectly with Burtons highly accurate Vaportec vaporisers to create a reliable solution for Low-Flow procedures.

    AAA Adaptable Anaesthesia Machine Frame

    • Built to Last - Crafted from high-quality stainless steel at Burtons UK facility, the frame is durable, easy to clean, and designed for a lifetime of use.
    • Modular Configuration - Ventilator ready when you are. Add optional accessories such as a patient monitoring shelf, ventilator shelf, or oxygen concentrator at any time; no need to replace your existing machine.
    • Compact and Mobile - Designed for efficient use of space with ample onboard storage and easy mobility. Easily move your anaesthesia setup to suit your workflow. An onboard oxygen concentrator and cylinders allows smooth patient transfer from prep to theatre without disrupting oxygen delivery.

    Multiple Oxygen Sources

    • Seamlessly connects to a variety of oxygen sources, including:
      - Two onboard ‘F’ size cylinders
      - Built-in oxygen concentrator
      - Direct connection to piped gas outlets
    • Allows uninterrupted oxygen delivery in all clinical scenarios

    User-Focused Design

    • Open and Accessible Frame - Ensures easy access to all critical components and simplifies cleaning and maintenance.
    • Wide Back-Bar Layout - Strategically spaced to allow tidy tubing and unobstructed use of the rebreathing bag.
    • 180° Visibility - Critical controls, vaporisers, and circuits are positioned high on the frame, as is the flowmeter that is designed to have a viewing angle of 180° for optimal visibility.

    Advanced Safety Features

    • Concentrator Changeover Valve - Instantly switch between the oxygen concentrator and cylinders with a single switch, no reconfiguration required.
    • Oxygen Flush System - Delivers a direct oxygen flush from the concentrator, ideal for circuit purging or emergency resuscitation.
    • Emergency O2 flush with dual one-way valve system and pressure relief - An integral safety mechanism on all Burtons Anaesthesia Machines. Designed to deliver oxygen rapidly in emergencies, whilst protecting the patient from potential harm. Here’s how it works to keep your patient, and your equipment protected:
      • The emergency O2 flush delivers a high flow of 100% oxygen directly to the breathing system in the case of an emergency, bypassing the vaporiser.
      • Our dual one-way valve system prevents backflow into the vaporiser during IPPV, crucially preventing unintentional delivery of a bolus of anaesthetic agent. It also ensures that expired gases or pressure surges don’t enter other components.
      • The pressure relief mechanism prevents system damage should the common gas outlet or any of the attached tubing become blocked.

    Low-Flow Anaesthesia, Made Simple

    • Precision Flow Control - Equipped with a high-accuracy logarithmic flowmeter for precise delivery, ideal for low-flow techniques.
    • Easy Transition - Whether you're new to low-flow anaesthesia or upgrading your existing setup, the AAA makes it easy to adopt best practices.
    • Clear Visual Feedback - Unique flowmeter design with a visible bobbin (resembling a rocket) that spins when flow is active, offering clear and immediate feedback. Outperforms traditional “spinning ball” systems, providing consistent results every time.

    Built-In Value

    • Full 1-Year Warranty on core components.
    • Supported by Burtons’ equipment experts and nationwide servicing network across the UK and Ireland.
    • Sustainability in Practice - Designed and manufactured in the UK with future-proof adaptability. No need to discard old equipment, just upgrade when you’re ready.

    Don't forget your Vaporiser

The Series 3 is a temperature compensating, out of circuit vaporiser in a traditional design, familiar to most veterinary practitioners. Calibrated specifically for the specified anaesthetic drug using a laser refractometer. Please note: Vaporiser Sold Separately

    Fitting Type

Choose from the standard taper mounted fitting (cage mount) (UNI) or the quick release (QR) option; allowing you to easily swap the vaporiser to different anaesthetic machines throughout the practice. Additional quick release compatibility blocks will be required for each anaesthesia machine. (Available separately)

Key filled or Funnel (Pour fill)

Key filled (KF) systems require the addition of key filler adaptors but are generally safer and have a lot less wastage compared to standard funnel filled (FF) vaporisers, saving you money in the long run.

Why is an Equipment Care Plan
The Right Thing for your Vital Equipment?

Planned preventative maintenance is your best defence against sudden failure of vital, frequently used equipment. Much of the equipment we see in practice today has been recycled and is of an age where failure of components is highly likely unless routine maintenance is carried out.

By regularly having your equipment serviced you are extending the life of your equipment and ensuring it is working to its full ability
